She is survived by her son, Byron Soirez and fiance Shantel Villarreal of St. Martinville; grandsons, Tobyn Harvey, Rodney Soirez, Christopher Soirez, CJ Villarreal; granddaughters, Stefanee Soirez, and Kamerin Villarreal; great grandchildren, RJ Hopes, Alayna Pichoff and Kelleigh Pichoff; sister, Mary Ellen Garb; brothers, Sam Garb, Gary Garb, Doug Garb; and numerous nieces and nephews. He was active duty during WWII and the Korean War. Gus was preceded in death by his wife Amanita. Creating an obituary on Echovita is free.
